Our studio

Bhakti Lounge offers the opportunity to enjoy yoga the social way. Get the option of a plant-based meal after your 6.15pm yoga class. Where else will you have an amazing dinner waiting for you after your yoga session!

Our yoga memberships also include access to all other events we host at Bhakti Lounge, such as Inspire me workshops, SoundLab, SoulFeasts - and the dinners of course. If you’d like to stay for a meal after your class but don’t have a membership, dinner is just an additional $5.

Vinyasa Flow

A form of yoga for practitioners of all levels. You’ll start off slow with held poses and gradually build up to an energetic pace for the ultimate combination of flexibility, strength and cardio. Sequences of sun salutations are the foundation of this practice to work your entire body. Expect a refreshed mindset and new sense of clarity from conscious movement.

Discover the benefits of a yoga practice with a gentle introduction to Vinyasa Flow. You’ll learn the basics and be guided through the practice with attention to proper positioning. A perfect class for those that are new to yoga while also catering for those that would like a solid foundation to their own practice.

Active Deep Stretch

A style of yoga developed by Muni; a well known teacher within the Wellington region. This style incorporates vinyasa flow to build heat and longer periods of deep stretching. Active Deep Stretch particularly releases tension and includes a complete range of movement to reset the body.

Power Vinyasa

Enliven the body and develop strength with Power Vinyasa. These classes focus on more challenging transitions and poses while still getting all the amazing benefits of yoga.

Hatha Yoga

A foundational class with an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Hatha Yoga is known as the ‘moving meditation’ as it soothes the nervous system; while your body relaxes so does your mind. Hatha is beneficial for all levels of practitioners. However, even a beginner practice in Hatha Yoga will invite improved cardiovascular health, posture and a rejuvenated system.

Muni

Muni is one of the powerhouses of Bhakti Lounge and is famous for his sense of humour; he knows how to shake the seriousness out of us all! 

His approach to yoga is simple; to practice regularly, feel better, and to enjoy being in the class rather than stress about what you’re wearing or even how flexible you are. His style is straightforward, clear and right at the core of yoga. 

 

Dina

Dina

Dina’s classes will leave you melting on the mat with her energising yet soothing classes. She developed her yoga practice by receiving training in Kripalu Yoga - a gentle Hatha Yoga practice that encourages an inward focus. Dina embodies a yoga lifestyle with a daily meditation practice and comprehensive background in ancient yoga philosophy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have parking?

Yes, there is street parking right outside and access to street parking nearby within walking distance of the studio.

Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?

We have yoga mats available - free of charge. But you are most welcome to bring your own mat too.

Do you have mat storage?

We are unable to store your yoga mat at Bhakti Lounge but do feel free to borrow our mats at your convenience.

Do I need to book?

There is no need to book so you are welcome to show up when it suits you.

What happens if I'm running late?

We understand our day plans don't always go smoothly so if you’re running 5 minutes late we can slip you into the class. However, to give everyone in the class the best experience we are unable to let you in past 5.20pm or 6.20pm.
